How to Book
Help in your Home
You should know that you have taken the hardest step in clearing your clutter - asking for help.
There are just 3 simple steps you need to follow to book some help in your home with your de-cluttering and organising.
Step 1: Decide how much help you want.
When people ask us how much help we would recommend, we always say that it depends on:
- what their struggle is
- how quickly and easily they pick up the process we teach
- how easy they find it to take our advice, suggestions and ideas
Generally people find it slower with the decision making process for the first half of the first day, then after we've taken a break they find the afternoon is quicker and easier with respect to the process and decision making.
- It's understandable - doing something differently to how you've been doing it before can be scary and a challenge, but that's why we're there to help you through it at a practical level and make sure we get de-cluttering!
- Ideally, if it's within your means, one or two full days is ideal if you have 25% of your rooms or home cluttered, i.e. surfaces and floors covered in a layer of clutter, cupboards packed with clutter, just like the picture on the left.
This is because in one day we can probably clear the backlog of much of one room (if not all), and in two days we can clear and organise 1 or 2 rooms, and maybe clear the clutter in a 3rd as well.
The telephone coaching that is included in the price of help in the home is crucial to your success at clearing ALL the clutter and getting organised. You have 3 things to do when de-cluttering -
This can't all be done in one day - it would be too much information to take in, too many decisions to make in one go, and not enough time to make it a habit so that it's a long term benefit to you and your home.
- clear the backlog of clutter
- organise what you keep better
- put processes and systems in place so that the clutter doesn't return to that level again in the future.
So, with the 3 weeks or 6 weeks of telephone coaching we can take each bit a step at a time - first we'll concentrate on continuing to clear the backlog that has accumulated, then we'll look at organising and sorting what you've decided to keep, and finally we'll look at the processes and systems that will work for you in your home so that the clutter doesn't return in the future.
Step 2: Decide when you want to have a home visit from us
Would you prefer a week day or a weekend? Remember that unlike other de-cluttering companies, we DON'T charge extra for weekends or mileage - the fixed fee is just that. We don't want you worrying about the clock ticking when we arrive.
