Rewards
We believe you've achieved a lot by doing some clutter clearing – so go on, reward yourself!
We believe you should reward yourself when you’ve done between half an hour and 2 hours of clutter clearing.
This is important because you MUST reward and acknowledge that you’ve done some clutter clearing, made a difference and achieved something. When we’ve got a lot of clutter to clear it’s hard sometimes to remember what we’ve cleared, but it’s easier to remember the reward we gave ourselves.
Rewards should be given to ourselves as soon as possible after a Clutter Clearing Session so that we begin to link the feel good factor of the successful Clutter Clearing Session with the feel good factor of the reward - we can never have enough feel good factor going on after all!
These are rewards for YOU and YOUR clutter clearing – not for anyone else!
We recommend small rewards and maybe a ‘big’ reward for when the clutter is completely cleared. It doesn’t have to cost money, it doesn’t have to be big and ostentatious. It’s a treat for you that you’ve earned by doing some clutter clearing.
So….. what would be a reward for you?
Some ideas are:
- anything you normally do but without the guilt
- having half an hour to yourself
- having a luxurious bath
- having a head or body massage
- meeting up with a friend for coffee or lunch
- a day out
- a glass of wine
- having a manicure
- phoning a friend
- going out for a meal instead of having to cook
- a treat like chocolate!
- someone else looking after the kids for half an hour
- maybe buying something for your home when you’ve cleared the clutter.
So what’s a reward for you?
Here are some suggestions for bigger rewards when you've done a whole room.
