Who are we?

The Clutter Clearing Consultancy was set up by Clare Baker who struggled with her clutter during a quarter life crisis 8 years ago at the age of 28.


Clare realised that people didn't need to be 'told' what to do with their clutter, or have the decisions made for them.  Having been in the position of feeling overwhelmed, out of control and worse, Clare realised that she actually needed help to feel empowered, in control and capable rather than feeling that she was dependent on someone else to control her home and make the decisions for her.

Apart from being legally dangerous if you have someone else make judgements on what of your belongings you should or shouldn't keep, it also assumed that there was only one way for a home or life to work - which of course there isn't. Two identical homes next to each other may have completely different needs depending on how many people live there, what they do, what their hobbies are etc.

So Clare decided to combine her professional experience of setting up and managing homes and offices, with her professional background in property development and, together with her NLP coaching skills, develop a business that could empower and enable people to get back control of their clutter, their homes and their lives.

Clare decided, right from the start that the business would be unique from other niche businesses run by 'Professional De-clutterers'. 

Clare decided that the business would be about 'Professional Clutter Coaching' -

 coaching, enabling and empowering people to clear their clutter

so THEY can get back control of their lives.

Clare's foundations for the business - empowering and enabling people to get back control of their clutter - has been proven to be the successful formula as the business now gets, on average, 3 clients a month who have previously had professional de-clutterers  in and discovered that it hasn't been a long term solution to their clutter problem.  6 weeks of help from Clare and her team and they have invested their time and money in a long term solution - and more often than not seen remarkable improvements in other areas of their lives too.

The Clutter Clearing Consultancy, after 7 years, is now made up of women who have had clutter and who's sole focus is to help people who have clutter that's out of control, want to learn how to clear, control and organise it, and need a little bit of help to get motivated, clear the backlog, stay on track and keep it under control in the future.

It is our aim to do this in a variety of ways so that:

•   wherever you live
•   however you prefer to learn
