Why get help with your clutter?
Simple.
Clutter makes us feel unhappy and uncomfortable in our homes and sometimes we need a little help to work out how to get it under control so we can feel happy and comfortable again.
There's no shame in asking for help with something if you need it, is there? Especially if it's simply a skill that you don't yet have and someone else can teach you.
We spend our life telling family, friends, children and loved ones to ask us for help if they need it - the only trouble is that they can't always help us with our clutter challenge because it causes arguments, ill feeling, stress or worse.
Compare it to the skill of cooking. If you couldn't cook you'd have a choice of what you could do.
You could:
- live off takeaways
- buy ready made meals that just needed heating up
- buy a book and work your way through it
- go on a workshop or course to learn with others
- get someone in to your home to teach you the basics to build up your confidence and your foundation in knowledge so that you could then continue on your own
- get someone to come in and teach you everything on a one-to-one basis.
We do exactly the same - for clutter.
You can:
- buy our eBook, MP3 Audio download or DIY Kit that takes you through a step by step process of HOW to de-clutter
- Have some one-to-one coaching with Clare, our founder and most experienced professional de-clutterer
- get some help in your home to learn HOW to clear your clutter to build up your confidence and your foundation knowledge so you can continue to de-clutter on your own
- have us help you completely clear and organise your clutter with you.
Sometimes it’s easier to have someone who can help you at a practical level so you can get more done in a shorter period of time, you can find another way of doing it if what you’re doing isn’t working, and because someone else who knows how to de-clutter in an efficient way can really help us stop procrastinating, help get us motivated and stay on track once we’ve got started, especially if our clutter is something that we haven’t told other people we have and need help with.
The most common reasons people give for getting help with their clutter include:
These are some of the most common reasons people give for getting help, but what’s interesting is that when they’ve got help with de-cluttering, they then tell us the other benefits they get from having help, including:
- Feeling stuck and overwhelmed by how much clutter you have, how much energy and time it’ll take to clear it and simply wanting and needing some supportive help with it
- Reaching a point where you feel you need and want to do something about your clutter, but don’t know what exactly
- You’ve tried to clear your clutter / de-clutter on your own but don’t seem to be getting anywhere
- You’ve realised that what you’re doing isn’t working so you want to do something different but can’t think of another way to try and clear your clutter
- You feel alone and frustrated by your clutter and you need practical support from outside your family and friends.
- Feeling back in control
- Knowing they only have to focus on a week at a time, thanks to the telephone support
- Having help to see that their glass is half full, not half empty
- Having a record of their progress
- Finding that other positive things come into their lives
- Having extra time to do the things that they enjoy
