Clutter Calmer

You are happy to allow a bit of clutter to accumulate, like a pile of post or a few magazines and newspapers, and it doesn’t worry you because you know exactly what to do with it if it does accumulate a little.

If you have pets, children or partners they know that they’re allowed to create clutter but that it can’t stay that way for long – certainly not over-night.

You’d never allow clutter to accumulate to the scale of a whole cupboard or room as that would feel uncomfortable.  If asked what was in your attic, garage or hall cupboard you would be able to name 6 out of 10 items, the other four being items that have been put there by someone else and are items that you didn’t know about.

If you were asked where certain things belonged in your home you’d be able to answer within 10 seconds. You’d only need time to think about where you last put it rather than where it actually belonged.

Newspapers and magazines are thrown out or recycled on a regular basis when you have a clear-up, and sometimes you keep them because they’ve got an interesting article or useful information in them that you’d like to keep.

You’ve seen the TV programmes that focus on the issue of de-cluttering and wonder how anyone could let their homes become that cluttered. To you the solution is simple – you do a little and often on a regular basis, at least once a week so that it never gets too much to deal. You can’t imagine ever having to do more than an hour of sorting out the clutter.

Ideal jobs for the Clutter Calmer

PA – organising someone else is a must for a PA and very often they have to calm the clutter after the ‘storm’ has passed.
A wife and mother – clutter accumulates, but then gets put back under control.
Project Manager – you have many things on the go at once and dealing with a team means it’s likely that there will be clutter at times. But a project manager has to get everything back into order quite quickly and get to the route of the problem that needs solving.

I am loving my flat, I’ve had my first dinner party in years and just love spending time relaxing (guilt free!) in the sitting room in the evening.

It is remarkable what you have helped me achieve without even coming to my home.

I'm completely clutter free after just 12 weeks!

When you've tried everything else on your own and failed, give this a try. It just works!   If you have any doubts, pick up that phone!  I was amazed at how different the living room was when Clare left. It was almost like we had just moved in, and I had just arranged things the way I wanted them.

I’ve learnt a lot from having the help in the home. I’ve learnt to take things a step at a time, prioritise things that need to be done, not to feel guilty for not getting everything done at once, not to put things to the side and the fact that this system really does work!  Thanks Clare.

I didn't think twice about spending money on 'stuff', but I did about getting Clare to come and help me.

If you're struggling with your clutter don't make the mistake I did and wait 3 years. It's the best money you'll EVER spend because you'll get so much more out of it than just a clutter free and organised home.
