  • Need help to Clear your Clutter and Get Organised?
  • Know that Clearing your Clutter is a Process, not a one off event?
  • Work best on a face to face basis?
  • Need help that includes the removal and distribution of your unwanted clutter - even bulk shredding?

Let Clare Baker be your guide and companion as you start your journey from Cluttered to Clutter Free - forever.

When you've tried everything else on your own and failed, give this a try. It just works!  The initial chat over the phone with Clare was very positive and inspiring, and immediately made me feel that clearing the clutter in my house was indeed possible and didn't need to be overwhelming. If you have any doubts, pick up that phone!  I was amazed at how different the living room was when Clare left. It was almost like we had just moved in, and I had just arranged things the way I wanted them. I was also surprised at how easy decisions about things became once I had the categories and such a clear picture of how I wanted things to be, thanks to Clare's help!

Shannan, Hampshire

90% of Clare's help in the home clients get help in secret - without anyone else knowing they're getting help.

Clare developed the help in the home service that way because she knows, from her own experience, that dealing with your clutter challange isn't something you want anyone else to know about, especially when friends and neighbours may not even know you've got a clutter challenge in the first place, and even if they do, friends, family and neighbours can think we're crazy for even considering getting professional help. They may think we just need to get on with it and pull ourselves together (sound familiar?!)

The way Clare works is specifically designed to work around your daily life, enabling you to get help on a day and at a time to suit you, when those you may share your home with are at work or school, and in a way that puts you back in control.

Clare will talk to you on the telephone or skype, come to your home for 4 hours at a time to suit you, and remove and distribute unwanted clutter for you so others don't even need to see the clutter that you are letting go of which could otherwise lead to awkward questions about what you've been up to while they've been out.

The only thing other people will notice is more space, less clutter, a happier and more confident you.

Clare's Help in the Home Service clients need help and support from someone who understands that it's not as simple as throwing it all away and starting again, is someone who's been where you are now, and someone who successfully overcame their clutter challenge to get back control of her home and life and become clutter free ever since (that's Clare by the way!).

In fact, many clients of Clare's take all the credit when family members return home to see a dramatic improvement in the clutter!

Not like anything you'll have seen before

Clare is a Clutter Coach, which is very different to the other 'experts' you may have come across.

Not only does this mean she's got relevant qualifcations, skills and experience, it also means that when Clare works with someone in their home she is doing 5 things that you won't have seen from other Clutter 'experts':
  • she will guide you through and teach you the Clutter Clearing Process, so you can learn how to make the decisions and get back control forever
  • she will remove and distribute unwanted clutter for you - so it's one less thing to have to make time to do
  • she will give you ongoing remote support as you practice the Clutter Clearing Process between her home visits.
  • she will help you identify and put new, clutter control habits in place so that you can maintain the clutter free rooms that you clear and organise, AND keep on top of new and incoming clutter so it stays away forever.
  • enabling you to share challenges, successes and experiences with other people on the same journey as you and also following the Clutter Clearing Process via the members online forum.
Clare knows from her own experience of having had a clutter challenge back in 2001 that a one or two day 'blitz' doesn't last. Having someone tell you what to keep and what not to keep doesn't work because what to her may be a worthless piece of paper may be to you a last letter from a loved one - how will she know the difference? Being ruthless leads to regret, and getting things out of your home isn't the only challenge you have with your clutter if you want lasting change ( if you've ever found the clutter return when you've had a blitz then you'll know what I'm talking about!).

Clare knows
that you need to learn how to make the decisions about what to do with your clutter yourself, that you need to feel safe with the decisions you make. You need to be able to feel confident about how you want your home to look and feel, and create the habits that are going to keep the clutter away when you've cleared it.

Clare can - and will -
enable you to do just that.

You WILL be able to make the decisions when you get her help.

You WILL learn the habits that are going to keep the clutter away.

You WILL get clearer about how you want your home to look and feel when it's clutter free.

‘I’ve had an 'expert' come to my home before and all it did was make it worse. I was left to deal with the unwanted clutter of which there was very little because all we seemed to do was move and store everything so it 'looked better' which I could have done myself to be honest because that's what I've done whenever I've tried to declutter.

I felt under pressure because they were only there for a day, and I had no idea what to do when they left, and within a matter of weeks the clutter was back.

When I read about how you would teach me the skill so I could continue on my own and deal with any clutter that started to reappear, I completely understood how you would help me. At last - I'm back in control of my home and have been clutter free for 3 years thanks to Clare and the Clutter Clearing Process!
Louise, Scotland

Why a day or two won't make a difference

Most importantly, Clare knows that it's going to take more than just a day or two of help to achieve a clutter free home - forever.

Not only does Clare know this from her own experience of having had a Clutter Challenge back in 2001, but also because approximately 60% of her clients over the last 9 years have had another 'expert' come to their home for a day or two of help and discovered that:
  • the clutter returned once the 'expert' had gone
  • the 'expert' had simply moved, bagged or boxed the clutter for them
  • the 'expert' didn't remove any unwanted clutter for them
  • the 'expert' didn't provide ongoing help and support beyond the home visit.
  • the 'expert' had simply put the clutter out of sight
  • and in all cases the 'expert' had neither:
    • shared with them how to do it themselves
    • helped them put habits in place to ensure they maintained a clutter free home.

Why we need to create new habits

You want to clear the backlog of clutter and get control of new and incoming clutter so that the clutter doesn't reappear. To do this, you're going to have to create some new positive habits that involve controlling, managing and actioning things that come through your door.

We don't want any more surfaces or floors becoming clutter magnets!

As you will learn with Clare, your home is like a conveyor belt and we need to focus on all 3 areas of your Clutter Clearing Conveyor Belt -
- not just the things that are coming off the conveyor belt - if we want a long term clutter free home.

Learning a new positive habit (and breaking old bad habits) requires us to repeat the new positive habit at least 21 times with at least 24 hours between each repeating of it - so the quickest you could create a new habit is 21 days.

‘I’ve been telling everyone about what a wonderful service you provide. I thought I just had a clutter problem and needed someone to tell me what to keep and what not to keep, but now I understand why you help me rather than do it for me. Thank you for helping me make my house a home.’

June, Bushey

How The Help in the Home Service Works

When you book, you book multiples of 1 month that work as follows:
Week 0: A 1 hour telephone consultation with Clare to explore your clutter challenge in more detail, Clare will reassure you that you're perfectly normal (!) and outline what will happen on the first day in your home.

Week 1 - 4:
When in your home, Clare will guide you through the Clutter Clearing Process, answer your questions and queries, and you will clear as much clutter as possible in that time.

N.B. If you live outside the UK, then the 1 month package is completed in 2 consecutive days of help in your home. All non-UK Help in the Home must be paid in one payment.

Why only 4 hours in your home at once?

There are 2 reasons, based on Clare's 9 years of experience:

1.       It's mentally tiring learning a new process

Clare knows that 4 hours of doing your clutter clearing in a completely different way to to how you have in the past will be mentally tiring.

There's a lot to think about as your brain starts to make decisions, learn the Clutter Clearing Process, get clear and get results!

Remember: Other 'experts' won't be teaching you a new skill or enabling you to make decisions.

2.       You may want to keep the help secret

Most people get help in secret. Therefore a 4 hour Clutter Clearing Session is relatively easy to fit around a normal day:
  • mothers can take their children to school, come home and have the 4 hours of help before having to return to collect children or have them return home.
  • people can have their 4 hours before their partners return home from work.
  • people who work during the week can have 4 hours of help at a weekend - so they don't have to take time off work - and still get regular 'chores' completed over the weekend.

Warm and friendly but with a no-nonsense approach, Clare Baker has a definite air of TV's Super Nanny about her.

With her dark-rimmed glasses, red lipstick and raven hair, she too is on her very own one-woman mission. But rather than dealing with unruly children, Clare is tackling unruly homes.

What Clients
are Saying:

I've achieved, and I am continuing to achieve visible, tangible results that I can feel every time I step into any room in my home.  All that does is confirm that I made a good decision to get Clare in to help me.

If in doubt just focus on what life will be like without the clutter - then book Clare.  I'd recommend to anyone to get Clare in to help because she holds your hand for 6 weeks after she's been in your home.  2 days of Clare has helped me change my life, not just my home. It was worth every penny.

Clare,

Thanks so so much for all your wonderful help and enthusiasm these last couple of days..! Thanks a million too for all these great tips and bits n bobs that you emailed me – I will check the stuff on the internet and definitely take your advice. You really have such good ideas, you see things that I have never seen even though I live with the house!  Thanks.

Dear Clare,

I am writing down every day now what session I am doing , (today was the 4th one) so I really get into the pattern and keep on track for the 20th one...I had a lot of fun doing it today. I understood yesterday when you phoned, how much this phone session is important so to really keep it in perspective and on target so thank you very much for that...and I am looking forward to our next talk.

Clare,

I am loving my flat, I’ve had my first dinner party in years and just love spending time in the sitting room in the evening. I also sat down to start my next play as the first has gone into production now and – you are not going to believe it – it took me 48 hours to write what took me 9 months on the first play! It is remarkable. Quite remarkable!

Clemmie, London
Things have definitely taken a turn for the better, thanks to you. I couldn't have wished for a better result.   Third party help and support is sometimes the only way to get through an impasse at home. Clare was non-confrontational and fun, and won over my team within an hour of arriving; allowing us to get on with the job and everyone to feel good about the results. Thank you Clare.

Moving of days and times will only be possible in exceptional circumstances.

For the two month package, all 8 weeks must be completed within 10 weeks.

For the three month package, all 12 weeks must be completed within 14 weeks.

All your weekly Clutter Clearing Sessions - both those in your home and the virtual Sessions - will be on the same day and time of the week.

This is necessary so that you can plan around a 4 week programme and if necessary explain to others that you are unavailable on that day and at that time because you are doing a course - which you are. They just don't need to know what you're doing on that course!
