We can help!
When you have 1-2-1 help, we will provide you with; follow up telephone and e-mail support for at least 6 weeks after your consultation; help you stay on track, motivated and focused on clearing the clutter; provide you with hourly hands on help once you’ve had an initial home consultation, if you want and need it. We know that life gets in the way and that’s OK. We work with you to enable you to succeed in the way that works best for you.
When you call us and book a 1-2-1 home consultation we’ll book 2 things with you:
- a telephone consultation for an hour a couple of days before we come to your home. During this telephone call we’ll ask you a series of questions about your clutter and all you have to do is tell us what comes into your head! This is so we can find out more about you and your clutter beforehand, enabling us to concentrating on the ‘doing’ when we’re in your home and so we’re not distracted by the clutter.
- a day for us to come to your home for the home consultation during which we’ll spend at least 6 hours going through the practical process of clearing, sorting and reducing the clutter together and making a real difference to the clutter in your home.
After the home consultation we’ll keep in touch for at least 6 weeks to help you stay on track with clearing your clutter.

Clutter Clearing
Category Cards
Both eBook 2 and workbook 2 have a simple step by step process for you to follow - you can't go wrong!
The Clutter Clearing Category Cards are exactly what they seem - cards with clutter categories on them. Designed to enable you to think about what's in your clutter and categorise it into 7 manageable categories. Instructions on how to use them are included.
I just need help getting
motivated
We would recommend:
Both eBook 1 and workbook 1 have a simple step by step set of questions to help you get motivated, focused and clear about what and why you want to clear your clutter. They will also help you deal with separating the emotional attachment to your clutter from the practicality of it.
I would prefer to have
one-to-one help in the privacy of my own home
We would recommend:
Before the day of the consultation you will have a one hour telephone conversation with your local consultant to talk about your clutter, what you want to achieve and book a day for them to come to your home.
On the day of the consultation we will arrive at approximately 10am and leave approximately 4pm - or earlier if you have children to collect or other things planned. (Ideal if you don't want others in the home to know you are getting help). We will go through the practical step by step process of how to de-clutter for the entire 6 hours, ensuring that we complete the clutter cycle several times so you know how to continue de-cluttering when we are not there.
We will keep in touch on a weekly basis for 6 weeks after your consultation - we know it can be easier when we're there with you, so together we plan how we can help you when we've gone. You can contact us at any time - all our consultants have a 'Clutter Surgery' during the week when you can call them to ask questions and generally trouble shoot. If you need more than a 10 minute conversation you can also book telephone coaching with your consultant.
I would prefer to have
1-2-1 help in my home, but I can't afford a 1-2-1 home consultation
/ live in a very remote place / live outside the UK
A telephone consultation
/ Webcam consultation
A telephone consultation is the next best thing to having a 1-2-1 home consultation. It's exactly the same as a home consultation and requires you to book 6 hours of telephone consultations.
We will have a one hour telephone consultation with you before the day of the consultation. We then send you the Clutter Clearing Category Cards and details of what you will need to have to hand on the day of your consultation.
On the day of your consultation you call us (on a direct line number to the consultant) at the pre-agreed times on 3 occasions during the day, each time for a one hour telephone conversation:
- Once in the morning for an hour to review our first telephone consultation and talk through the step by step process that you need to follow.
- Once just after lunch to review, see how you're getting on.
- Once at the end of the day to review, plan what will happen in the next couple of weeks.
We are obviously available in between if you get really stuck or have a question - you don't have to wait until the next call if you have a burning question or problem!
We will then do 6 weeks of follow up support and you will get free membership to the website.
Available to anyone in the world and any time day or night!

I need to de-clutter
FAST - in less than a couple of weeks
We would recommend:
De-cluttering takes time. It took you more than a couple of days to accumulate so it's going to take more than a couple of days to clear and control.
If you need help fast then the eBooks are the quickest way of getting practical help - you can work through each in about an hour and be succeeding at de-cluttering once you've read through them.
I would prefer to work

A group consultation can be for up to 3 people so if you and 2 friends can have a consultation, they can also learn the step by step process of de-cluttering and we can talk about how they can help you after the consultation. The consultant acts as a bit of a 'mediator'.

Clare Baker who founded the company is an expert on the issue of clutter, how to clear it and the reality of clutter in the real world. Clare knows that in the real world clutter isn’t a key issue and that many people are cynical about the benefits of clearing it. Clare also knows that it takes a lot for clutter to get to the top of the ‘to do’ list and that once people are asking for help then it’s usually affecting them, or their company, in a negative way.
- I know what it’s like to have clutter. I’ve had clutter that’s out of control, (and I have a cat, a husband, hobbies and a very busy job). The difference has been that I know how to clear and sort it so it never accumulates to an excessive amount.
- We will make sure you have local information about local services that can help you with your unwanted clutter.
- I want to help people at a practical level because I know that they want practical help, not advice that’s going to make them feel inadequate, as if they’re doing it wrong, or worse – like they’re not good enough and they deserve to have clutter.
- I’m down to earth and I make sure all my consultants are too, that’s why I’ve been asked back onto BBC radio many times because I live in the real world, not some idealistic one.
- I train all the consultants myself and ensure they have at least 3 supervised consultations before they carry them out themselves. That way you can be sure that whoever is helping you has knowledge and experience that will really help you.
What are the Tools of the Trade that Clare and her team use?
There are a range of tools that Clare and her team use to help people clear their clutter, and which can be incorporated into presentations, team building activities or discussions. Clare finds that having something tangible often helps people realise that Clutter is a practical issue, not just academic.
The 2 key tools used are:
With NLP as the foundation of how it works the method used is not designed as a one hit wonder but as an ongoing point of reference and help so that clearing the clutter can be an ongoing project. It’s designed to enable people to help themselves and get out of the negative thought patterns that they have about their clutter (and in particular their failure to clear and sort it).
Good Housekeeping and Prima magazine have commented on how practical the eBooks are to their readers.
Sandi Toksvig has said of them:
‘I liked the fact that this was not an actual book that one might buy to prop up yet another corner of the coffee table. The tome was full of practical advice’.
