If we're helping you in your home, why do we need a one hour telephone consultation before hand?


Some people ask why they need this first hour. 

Imagine going to the A & E of a hospital and telling them that you think you have a broken leg.  You don't get to see the doctor straight away, you see a triage nurse first who will take information from you so that the doctor can look at your notes before seeing you, get prepared for an x-ray, know a little more about you before actually seeing you and your leg. It means he can take action quicker and be more specific when he actually sees you.

This one hour call is a little bit like the triage nurse - it enables us to find out a bit more before we come to your home, and help you understand your clutter a bit more in terms of where the biggest challenges are, whats' in your clutter etc.

This may be the first time you've thought about, or talk to someone your clutter in depth - not many people have talked about their clutter for an hour, to someone who's interested in hearing about it!.  You'll also find it amazing what we discover!

This one hour telephone call is a little bit like the triage nurse - it enables us to:
  • Find out a bit more about you and your clutter before we come to your home.

  • Enable you to get to know us better.  During this telephone call we'll give you examples of situations we've seen (whilst also maintaining client confidentiality), ways that we've helped clients, patterns that we know of and solutions.  We'll also, more often than not, share our own personal experiences or personal circumstances that will help you feel more comfortable that we do have relevant experience to help you, you're not alone and even clutter consultants don't have perfect lives!

  • get started with the physical de-cluttering quicker when we get to your home as we've already got to know you and you us quite well, so we don't have all the 'awkward' and formal greetings.

  • Clients find it also helps them understand their clutter a bit more in terms of where their biggest challenges are, whats' in their clutter etc.

  • Enables us to put together a unqiue motivational CD to help you stay focused, motivated and use in the process - we make this CD after the telephone call, and bring it with us on the day.
