10 THINGS TO DO LESS OF TO MAKE MORE PROGRESS

TO GIVE YOU MORE TIME FOR YOUR JOURNEY

It’s rarely done consciously. We’ve been so used to failing in the past that it’s become a subconscious automatic habit, which is the result of self-sabotage. Here are 5 common reasons why we self-sabotage:

  1. Do your Wheel of Life Review at the end of every term so you know what is a priority for YOU in terms of your time over the next term so you allow LESS time ‘sugar’ to end up in your time jar
  2. Ignore your weekly planner LESS! Do – and follow – your weekly planner. Yes – it really is that simple!
  3. Be online /check your social media LESS. Use a time limiter app such as  https://www.stayfocused.me/
  4. Watch LESS TV / Netflix / You Tube, play fewer online games. Use these as rewards for AFTER you’ve ‘done the doing’, not before
  5. Get distracted and interrupted LESS by protecting your boundaries so you can focus and concentrate when you are working on your Journey (when it’s scheduled on your weekly planner):
    • Turn your mobile / cell phone to silent when you’re working on your Journey so you don’t hear the notifications when things come in
    • Only check your e-mails a couple of times a day
    • Stop responding to / replying to people immediately / allowing people to interrupt you
    • Stop being available to everyone 24/7
  6. When you are following your weekly planner which is built around your Wheel of Life priorities: you will be LESS impulsive at planning or accepting last minute invitations to events
  7. When you are following your weekly planner which is built around your Wheel of Life priorities: you will plan / Schedule FEWER events / parties / social events. You’ll still go – but not to so many

TO CLEAR YOUR CLUTTER FASTER

  1. Try to make the perfect decision LESS. It’s more important to make realistic decisions
  2. Do LESS actioning / to-do’s as they require your time. Where you can, delegate to-do’s

TO MAKE SURE THE CLUTTER DOESN’T GROW BACK

  1. Impulse buy LESS. Buy ONLY what is on your shopping list which is based on what you actually NEED and will use within the next 7 days (groceries) 1 month (household items)

You can clear your clutter fast, or you can clear your clutter forever, but you can’t clear your clutter forever, fast.
